Mowgli - Stories from the Jungle Book
Title: Mowgli – Stories from the Jungle Book
Story (plot): The Jungle Book. While walking in the jungle, Bagheera the panther discovers an abandoned baby. He brings it to a couple of wolves who already have a large family. For ten years, the ‘little man’, called Mowgli, grows peacefully among his brother wolf cubs. Suddenly, the return of Sher Khan, the man-eating tiger, is announced. In order to shelter Mowgli, the council of wolves asks Bagheera to accompany him to the nearest village. Being unaware of the goal of the voyage, the child sets off with his friend the panther. On the way, they meet Kaa, the hypnotising snake, worthy colonel Hathi and his company of elephants, and also Baboo, an epicurean bear who becaomes Mowgli’s best friend. When the child is removed by a troop of Macaques whose king, Louie; wishes to get the secret of fire, Baboo and Bagheera precipitate a rescue. Learning that he must leave his dear jungle and his friends, the child flees, upset He is not long in falling into the claws of Sher Khan, but his friends succeed in rescuing him. It does not seem that Mowgli will rejoin the world of men… until the moment when the vision of a charming little girl makes him change his mind. And it is under the emotional gaze of Baboo and Bagheera that he follows her to her village.
Opinion: From Baboo and King Louie through Bagheera to Sher Khan and Kaa, all the animals intrigued me, frightened me.
