The Canterville Ghost
Author: Oscar Wilde
Genre: Fantasy (because ghosts do not exist)
Characters: Mr Hiram B. Otis – it’s an American who has bought the castle Canterville Chase.
The ghost – It’s a terrible old man in appearance. He had red eyes like coals ablaze. He had long grey hair which fell on the broad shoulders. His clothes were dirty, he had heavy rusted iron handcuffs and leg irons on his ankles.
Virginia – It’s a woman who follows the ghost. She knows how to take the place of a live ghost because it’s lonely who know a ghost.
Story:
It’s Mr Otis who buys a castle at Canterville Chase. This castle is haunted because a ghost comes at night during people’s sleep. The characters are worried but Virginia speaks with the ghost. Virginia convinces the ghost to become kind, with the people who live in the castle. In the end, something tragic happens to the ghost.
My Opinion:
The book is good but it’s a little difficult.

The story 'The Canterville Ghost' is funny. It is not very difficult but I did not understand everything.
